Aloha Church Family,
These are unprecedented times we are navigating as a community. We are working very hard and closely monitoring the situation and communications that we receive from our local, state, and federal government agencies. We will be following suit with the requests made regarding gathering sizes and social distancing.
In light of the most recent requests from the CDC we will adhere to the less than 10 people gathering sizes which has been requested for the next 15 days. Therefore we will be holding our weekly Sunday service at 9 AM online at our website and Facebook pages. We will be live online at 9 AM for the next two Sundays and we invite you to join us online for that service time. We encourage as many as are able to join together live online and share prayer requests and comments to encourage the body during the service. Once the service has completed you will be able to view that service on our website and Facebook pages at any time.
We are also going to gather online to pray at a couple select times surrounding the week of the 200th celebration. March 30th at the Kawaihae Pier at 10 AM we will pray together online. On April 4th at 10 AM the bell will be rung 200 times and we will follow this with a worship and prayer time celebrating 200 years of God’s faithfulness and also interceding for the ending of the Coronavirus pandemic. These will be key times for us to gather online to stay connected during these challenging times.
Our church office will be closed for the next two weeks, but our phone will still be answered remotely to answer questions. Feel free to call between 9 AM and 4 PM. If you need help please call our office for assistance. We want to offer a grocery delivery service for our high risk church family members. Please call if this is something you need help with.
We also ask that we continue to give financially to support the ongoing ministry of the church. We will be stewarding our resources with discipline as we know all of you will be doing as well. We will make it through these trying times together. I believe that as we continue to give generously we will stand on the Lord’s promises and continue to have our needs met as we serve an incredibly faithful God. Please mail your checks to the church office or give online at our website so we can continue to serve our Kona community. Donate Here.
In another note, our brothers and sisters in Christ at the University of the Nations have posted their response to the corona virus crisis on-line. For current and accurate information on how YWAM Kona is responding please visit their website: www.ywamkona.org/Covid-19 Please note: YWAM Kona’s response is exemplary.
Let us create a culture of blessing as we continue to walk through this time together.
